The View from Abroad. Election waves…Orlando Casares, Voter Registration, Chairman, RA Belgium.

Orlando Casares returns to RARadio to speak about the campaigns, the debates, and the impressions in Europe. He comments on the debate in which he participated in on behalf of Republicans Abroad, with members of Democrats Abroad in Brussels. For Casares, “the world is watching, and it is the most historic election…”finding ourselves, at the “crossroads….Will we be worse off or better off?…Can we afford four more years? That is the bigger question.” Republicans Abroad is motivating and reaching out to the American population overseas to vote…” Mr. Casares is intent in organizing an event where Republicans from all over Europe converge in Brussels to hear prominent leaders speak on the issues that concern Americans abroad. He notes that because of his law firm, which has branches in 60 countries, he travels and uses that opportunity to “get the word out.” He points to the fact in many an election the American expat vote has been the “tipping point.” And represents hundreds of thousands of votes!…For he also comments on the dilemmas that Americans living overseas have with the “US policies that are toxic, hurting American exports” putting us on track to become a “third class country.” As a Mormon, Mr. Casares also comments on the historic event our nation will be experiencing in the election of a Mormon to the highest office, comparing it with JFK’s election as the first ever Catholic president. What he admires in Governor Romney are his qualities as a man of Faith, his family values and work ethics…

Citizens for Romney. Getting the Message out. Don Huber, Chairman, The Official National 2012 Citizens for Romney for President Comite.

Mr. Huber, a man who has known Governor Romney for more than 50 years, having first worked for his father, Governor George Romney, returns to RARadio to speak about what he is doing in support of the Governor’s campaign … Mr. Huber begins by commenting on his professional background as a lawyer, professor, business man and one who served 4 presidents and one governor in many capacities and is currently a freelance writer and strong MR supporter! He gives his thoughts on the second Romney-Obama debate, claiming “testosterone” as the winner, but also saying that “Mitt Romney did not disappoint.” He points to the upcoming event that he is involved with Universal Studios, a one hour special with Democrat actors and who want to show support for the Governor…And how will this materialize? Mr. Huber notes that he has met with Campaign aides to Governor Romney in Boston and that this is all in the works… He also speaks of his recent participation in a Tea Party Event where Pat Boone was a major speaker. Mr. Huber expresses that “Mitt Romney will win in a landslide,” getting the independent’s vote and people will ask themselves “what was wrong with the polls?” And goes on to explain how the polls are taken and with what numbers they are compared to (the last 2008 election, where there was a large Democrat turnout!)

Charles Schott, a lawyer by profession, and businessman (Management consultant) served in the Reagan and Presidents Bush (41 & 42) Administrations speak to RAradio about this election cycle. He offers his thoughts on the second Romney-Obama debate and comments that “ President Obama, did show up for this one.” He also notes of the “litany of promises made by Obama in 2008 and that he has not kept, with a broken economy and now a broken candidacy..” Mr. Schott speaks of his monthly writings and commentaries for the website http://www.egopnews.com. He signals the importance of this election, and points to what is at stake, if “he gets another four years…the problems will metastasize…” Instead of tackling the three entitlement programs, Mr. Obama created a new one, Obamacare, that will take us all down the “fiscal cliff.” Mr. Schott comments on what a re-election scenario with total “gridlock” in Congress could mean for President Obama and contrasts it with Governor Romney, who has the potential of working in a bi-partisan manner. For him, the House will stay Republican and he notes that voters use the congressional races to “punish the president’s (incumbent) party..”
