Conserving our Liberties. ACRU (American Civil Rights Union). Susan E. Carleson Chairman, CEO of ACRU

Ms. Carleson speaks to RARadio about the mission of the organization, which was “the brain child of her husband, Bob Carleson…and one that would take on the ACLU…” ACRU assembled “brain power,” with the likes of Attorney General Edwin Meese, Ken Starr and Judge Robert Bork on its Board. Since 1996, the organization has been filing briefs for 35-40 cases, to curb the “leftist drift of society…” Ms. Carleson speaks of the many “amicus briefs” filed over the years, especially those defending Arizona (Immigration law), challenging Obamacare, and protecting religious rights as in the Mount Soledad Cross case in San Diego. Recently, the ACRU urged the Supreme Court to adopt a “coercion test” to protect religious freedom and Ms. Carleson explains why this is important. Another important project in which she is now involved has to do with VOTER FRAUD and the initiative is called” Protect Your, allowing citizens to learn about the prevailing rules in their State, and encouraging them to get involved in the process by acting as volunteers, poll watchers, etc….Ms. Carleson also speaks of the “Carleson Center for Public Policy” that she founded in honor of her late husband, who first worked for President Reagan in 1971 when he was Governor, and who became the “standard bearer” of welfare reform for California and, in 1996, for the rest of the country, “turning [the country] around from socialism, a detrimental system…” What would Reagan do? Ms. Carleson explains that it was Sean Hannity, who was asking this question in his program and it inspired her to start the organization…to ” to take up entitlement reform and tax policies, to advocate and advance the Reagan philosophy…which was limited government; returning power to the States ..” The Center will now tackle, a Medicaid Bill…

Representing the People. Empowering Citizens Rep. Randy Forbes (R-VA)

Congressman Randy Forbes, a lawyer by profession with a long career in public service in his State was also Chairman of the Virginia Republican Party from 1996-2001. Congressman Forbes is on the Judiciary Committee and the Committee on Armed Services and as Chairman of the House Armed Services Readiness Subcommittee. A framed copy of the Declaration of Independence hangs in his office, “a reminder of our rights, that come directly from our Creator…,our country anchored in four great pillars,…”he explains. Congressman Forbes speaks of his “New Manhattan Project for Energy” and his dedication in helping Seniors by requesting “increased investment into medical research,” in the Patients First Act and that more dollars should be allocated to research of Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s and Diabetes. Mr. Forbes discusses Obamacare and its treatment of religious groups and remarks that what should be noted is not whether the exercise of faith offends anybody but rather whether its prohibition… does? A strong supporter of a Balanced Budget Amendment, Mr. Forbes explains, that it would help control “government spending.” Congressman Forbes speaks of the Obama Administration’s cuts on defense and how it is going to affect America’s national security… A message to Republicans Abroad? ….Mr. Forbes calls them Great Ambassadors, who are proud of their country and encourages them to register to vote and vote…

Representing the People. Veterans Affairs Rep. Jeff Miller (R-FL)

Congressman Jeff Miller is Member of the House Armed Services Committee and Chairman of the Committee on Veterans’ Affairs. He is also a Member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and Vice Chairman of the Subcommittee on Transatlantic Defense and Security Cooperation, NATO Parliamentary Assembly… Congressman Jeff Miller comments on the budget cuts that the Department of Veterans Affairs is facing at the end of the year and gives his opinion on the OMB’s (Office of Management & Budget) decision to exempt it from sequestration by calling attention to the President’s purely “political calculation,” in waiting until the last minute and upon receipt of a letter by the OMB, to claim that VA were exempt from cuts… He also calls “unconscionable,” the backlog of ca.900,000 claims that have been delayed by the Obama Administration, and all because of an “antiquated system,” within the VA, a large bureacracy of 300,000 individuals…Mr. Miller speaks of the priorities that should be noted, especially to those veterans suffering of mental health and calls for them to be treated better, and urges the Department to bring help closer to their communities instead of forcing them to travel great distances to get help… Congressman Miller speaks of his District and its military bases and installations, and the consequences that an early pullout of Afghanistan will have. For him, the “soft power” that is being employed by the Obama Administration will not have a “lasting effect,” He strongly believes in empowering the Afghan Security and giving “flexibility” to our troops on the ground, not keeping them “hand tied.”

As a Member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, Rep.  Miller speaks of the Annual Intelligence Authorization Act and CISPA (Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act (CISPA), passed by the House on April 26,2012 with bipartisan support despite Veto threat) to encourage companies and the federal government to share information collected on the Internet to prevent electronic attacks from cybercriminals, foreign governments and terrorists…” Congressman Miller speaks of the TSA and legislation he authored to send unclaimed monies ($400,000+) to the USO instead of supplementing the TSA’s own budget… Mr. Miller also comments on the Secret service scandals and points to the lack of “leadership…” For Republicans Abroad, Mr. Miller speaks of the “great consequences” that the November election will have…. that our future may well depend on those Absentee ballots…
