Rep. David Dreier (R-CA) was first elected to Congress in 1980 and became a member of the House Leadership when he took the helm of the powerful House Committee on Rules in January 1999. As the youngest Rules Chairman and the first from California, Dreier plays a pivotal role in fashioning all legislation for debate in the House. He continues to serve as the Chairman of the Rules Committee and in the Republican Leadership as a voice for reform and oversight in Congress.
Mr. Dreier is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and is on the Board of the International Republican Institute. He has also received 100% approval ratings from the US Chamber of Commerce, the National Association of manufacturers, the national Federation of Independent Businesses, etc.; Mr. Dreier spoke to RAR about his 25 + years in Congress, his continuous association over the years with the Reagan family…
